John Joseph Gallagher, was sadly taken away from us, at home in Birmingham, age 78, on 17th of Jan 2025. John was born in Loughanoran, Annagry, Co. Donegal on September 30, 1946. John was loved and adored by his family, leaving wife Mary, their 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, wider family and friends. John was an amazing character who inspired those around him. A family man who led by example with his dynamic, decisive, supportive, caring and generous nature. With his wicked sense of humour, he also loved nothing better than a good play up for a bit of craic. There was never a dull moment when he was around and John will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
We miss him and love him always x 💜
The Family welcomes donations, rather than gifts or flowers, to the Birmingham Hospice Charity, who supported Johns wellbeing in his final months.
Fógraítear bás John Joseph Gallagher, sa bhaile, in Birmingham, Sasana ar an 17 Eanáir 2025, agus 78 bliain slánaithe aige. Rugadh é i Loch na nDeorán, Anagaire, Contae Dhún na nGall ar an 30 Meán Fómhair 1946.
Cúis ollmhór bhróin a bhás dá theaghlach croíbhriste – a bhean chéile, Mary, a seisear páistí agus a 15 gharpháiste, agus a dtriúr páistí garpháistí – dá ghaolta eile agus dá chairde. Ba dhuine ar leith é John. Fear mór teaghlaigh a bhí ann, agus grá ollmhór aige dá theaghlach agus dá mhuintir.
Fear é John a bhí lán le spiorad agus cineáltas, a thug spreagadh agus inspioráid do gach duine ina thimpeall. Bhí sé lán le craic agus spraoi i gcónaí, le miongháire ar a aghaidh agus é réidh le gach duine eile a chur ag gáire. Cronóidh a mhuintir agus a chairde go mór é.
Cronaímid é agus beidh ár gcroí istigh ann go deo x
